Sweetest teeth

Not only do these teeth love to eat the occassionl treats, but have been caught biting on doors and tables. Follow the wonderful adventures of Lardee and Ickle at My Milk Toof by Inhae.
I love them!! These are just a few of the series of adorable photos.

I also just added my "Silence and Noise" print as greeting cards in my Etsy shop. They are made from recycled art paper and left blank on the inside for your own thoughts. I hope to expand to more soon.

Men in Pink

I happened upon these two men embracing the color pink into their wardrobes today while surfing and had to share as I find it refreshing and think it compliments well. What do you think?

Hungry Eyes

Photos ©Leigh 2009

I was taking some photos for a menu today for a friend that is opening up an Italian deli soon and all I know is now that I have them open and am trying to choose the best shots, I have to walk away until tomorrow. It is causing hunger sounds and I want to raid the kitchen. A bit to late for that, maybe ;)
As soon as it opens I will give the details for those here in Denver.
In the meantime have a wonderful weekend.

China Town

Inspired from my visit through China Town in San Francisco.

"The best thing about fashion is when women dress for themselves in the mirror, not for a man or to make another woman mad. To often woman spend time thinking about fashion as a tool to improve their status or mask their insecurities rather than something to enjoy and fall in love with for thier own pleasure." ~ Alber Elbaz

Voyage in my closet

Photo: Aaron Goss 2009

I work from home most days, but over the years that never stopped me from dressing up in what makes me feel good even while at home. I may only see my daughter all day and my only getting out is to grab some milk at times, but it makes me feel good to get up, put on my makeup, dress in cute clothes and shoes, it's just how I have always been. I definitely have many days where I just throw on a pair of jean shorts and flip flops, but I LOVE clothes so much and I try to mix it up each week. I am designing a few things as well and fashion is just a large passion in my life. Also I try to be creative as possible with my closet each season, only picking up a few key pieces that I think will keep me going until the weather changes, mostly that would be shoes. Those babies will extend most wardrobes for a long time.. and keeping items in the neutral palette with an exception to a fun print dress here and there.

I have also learned in the past that when I would just buy something because it was on sale it ended up lost in my closet to more of the same items I could care less about.. So this past few years I have donated half of it, changed my habits and am only buying things that I really love! Most important, I stopped charging everything. If I want it, I have to pay cash. There are always exceptions to any rule, but in that case pay off what you charged first before heading out again.. (It may be that I am in my 30's now and my goals have changed) but I have learned to pull together what I already have while adding only minimal pieces. Also if my ass splits a pair of jeans instead of running out the next day to get a new pair... to the sewing machine I go.
I am also saving for a summer flat overseas so I cannot be tempted to shop, though it can be difficult. (like right now hold me back... I really must have those shoes from the previous post below, seriously...biting lip)

With the inspiration of street fashion, lookbook and especially love maegan she is amazing with her recycled and DIY btw and well she is just fabulous! I was inspired to give this a go.

I am classic dressing and I usually let my shoes do all the talking ;) I have only 2 high end bags my Balenciaga~ killing this one slowly, poor bag, I just love it so much!! (but that is the purpose to enjoy it, no?) and my multi colored Louis Vuitton Speedy, dust bag it hides and in love with it as those are my initials.. with all of that I add a touch of vintage here and there, voila you have Moi.

And as many of you know I have a lot of fun with my photography and self portraits so I am definitely not shy about taking photos and getting crazy with them ;P. whooohaaa ;) So along with all of my usual posts, I am going to (TRY) and add some outfits to the mix maybe inspire others, maybe not. I will test it and try to work it in my schedule, if it works it works if not whatever.
So come on in.

Inspirations from Johnny

Photo: Leigh 2009

"How does the individualist find dignity and purity in a plastic culture and a polluted world?"

A few discoveries about Johnny Depp from an article in the July issue of Vanity Fair, ~

His song of focus while filming Public Enemies in Chicago, Artie Shaw's 1938 recording of "Nightmare"

which I love and as I listen I want to envision dressing as Kate Moss here while

sipping an apéritif, flirting with all the boys and pretending to laugh at all of their not so funny jokes ;)

Also I learned that he paints oil portraits of those that have inspired him.
Here is one of him near a painting he did of his wife Vanessa.

Along with the fact that he owns an island (Little Halls Pond Cay)~ F*ck off island.. he is very down to earth and has such an appreciation for those that have helped him on his path, even naming all the beaches on his island after those he cares about and his Vessel ~Vajoliroja~ after his immediate family, (Vanessa, Johnny, Lily Rose and Jack). He is very intriguing for sure. Here is the Full Article".

It also inspired these shoes, ;)

Stem Show update

Photo: Leigh 2009

I think this is one of my new favorite flowers, I am not sure of the name, hopefully one of you do;) It was one of many beautiful flowers that filled Stem where Dallas, Liz and I had our group art show in San Francisco. Maxine the owner and host of the show carries so many other wonderful gift items on top of the floral arrangements, so if in the area do stop by.
Here are a few photos of the show and thank you to all that came down :)

It was also Gay Pride weekend, so this was our view with literally a sea of people just outside the doors looking out at Dolores Park.

Could not help but pose next to this strange man that decided to just hang upside down on the sidewalk for awhile. To all his own I suppose.

Thank you also to batter bakery for supplying the yummy cupcakes and to all that posted about the event online.
