A bit slow on the posts this week, I had to make a hard choice and put my dog Buddy that I have had for 16 years to sleep which was today. :( Somber and sad but so glad that he lived such a long life, he will be missed.
oh no! i totally love dogs and have two myself, one of which i've had for half my life. they are my family so i can feel your sadness for making that choice. im glad to hear that he lived a full life. hope you feel better soon
Oh darling, I am so sorry for your loss. It is hard to say goodbye. Even years later you find yourself not believing that our beloved pets have passed away. Sometimes when I visit my Dad I still half expect my childhood pet dog, Shandy, to come bounding to the back door. Hugs to you.
Oh, Leigh. I'm so sorry. It's wonderful that you were able to enjoy his love and friendship for so long. Just try to think of the good memories and know that Buddy is in a place where he no longer has to feel pain. Hugs to you from Wrigley and I!
Such an unselfish decision on your part, and I know Buddy thanks you for easing him out of his pain. Truly, it is the toughest decision because it is so unfair that the ones who give us such unconditional love must be taken away so quickly.
Hello, I have just discovered your blog and this is my first time to comment. I send you my best wishes - it's such a difficult thing, losing a beloved pet. I just can't imagine the day my gorgeous furry kid Molly is not with me. You were lucky to have had him in your life for 16 great years :)

Sorry to read about Buddy. Dogs have a way of getting into your soul. They become part of who we are, so they never really leave.
