"Let Beauty Loose"

© Leigh Viner 2011
18x24 Acrylic on Canvas

Beauty is ever to the lonely mind
A shadow fleeting; she is never plain.
She is a visitor who leaves behind.
The gift of grief, the souvenir of pain. ~Robert Nathan

Wow, Leigh! This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the movement and the poem with it. I think about what it feels like to dance and this is the closest thing that expresses it.

I love this! It is absolutely fabulous. Movement and flow is evident in this great piece. Interesting that I should end up here and see such a free flowing use of color and line after reading about the passing of Helen Frankenthaler, which saddened me because she was one of my favorite artists.

Seeing this painting, I am reminded why you are one of my favorites as well.
