Leigh Viner for Lady Gaga + Etsy + Vh1 Save the Music Foundation

The news is here finally!! I am pleased to announce my collaboration with Lady Gaga and Etsy to raise money for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.

I was contacted by Etsy a few weeks back and was informed that Miss Lady Gaga herself was interested in commissioning my art for this cause, so happily I accepted, (of course!) I am extremely flattered, especially being a freelance artist to get these wonderful opportunities, many, many thanks to all that got me on board!! xo

Missing in action this week due to setting up my new office, I also just ordered this desk and while I wait I have my computer set up in the dining room, so a bit out of my usual sync getting to things, but soon all will be back to normal. Also still waiting on the sharing the news I promised on Monday (spoke to soon) but I promise it will be worth the wait! In the meantime some inspiration for me from this week.

Spring into Black and White

A wonderful accomplished weekend and one more day for me to share something fabulous! It has been raining on and off all week, but I found some dry weather today and an excuse to wear a new favorite shear cardigan that I am sure will be layering over many dresses this summer. Especially this white one from Forever 21 as alone it tends to show more then I want to show, you know..

Signs of Summer

This weekend marks the official start of Summer for me as my daughters last day of school was today. And with that a wonderful tradition of taking her for ice cream as soon as that bell rings. mmmmm What marks the start of summer for you?

Arancine (Saffron Rice Balls)

Made these delicious saffron rice balls also called Arancine last night and definitely found a new favorite Italian treat that I will make often. I will admit though the preparation was longer then I thought, but worth it!! I substituted the arborio rice and saffron spice (well it is the most expensive spice in the world!!) with 2 packages of Mahatma brand saffron yellow and long grain rice instead. Turned out amazing, and quite filling, I only needed 3 with a side of asparagus. :p Enjoy xo

Raining pictures

I was going to get this post up yesterday but yes as we all know Blogger was down and many of us lost comments and posts etc. So if you left a comment yesterday it is no longer here :\, but I am thankful for them regardless.

Anyhoo I wanted to share my two favorite throw on pieces that I will wear to death I am sure, first the Trouvé sweater with loose weaved delicate holes and has the most ridiculous long fabulous sleeves that I adore, perfect to layer on top of anything really and the sweatshirt from Splendid is also just right with a low neckline (coming from me if anything is near my neck to tight which most sweatshirts are I start to feel claustrophobic.) Also I am in love with the blush colors that I am wearing a ton of lately.
