1 look ~ NOVIS Spring 2016

A long month settling into the fall season with an unwelcome cold, then acute bronchitis, no fun! But with that I continued to juggle a few projects and personal work just at a slower pace instead of my usual neurotic norm. 3 weeks later I am finally starting to feel back to myself ( Thank you! )
I have a few stockpile creations that I will be sharing from last month until now so keep an eye out for that starting with this #1look from NOVIS.

1 Look ~M Missoni Spring 2016

With the start of New York fashion week, I am taking in the very fast but inspiring looks as they come in. This M Missoni is not from this weeks shows, but for the Spring 2016 season that I decided to start from. I must say I have enough inspiration to last a few lifetimes, but honestly that is just the tip in the many genres I hope to get to and create in the upcoming weeks.

1 Look ~ Proenza Schouler Resort 2016

Helloooo :) I hope you're all enjoying the long weekend in the States for Labor Day. I am taking advantage of some extra studio time and decided on a long and overdue 1 Look creation. This one was inspired by Proenza Schouler's Resort 2016 collection as I was browsing Style.com a few weeks ago, but sadly the site has come to an end. That was truly my place I would watch incoming inspirations from the collections each season, but thankfully not all is lost, it has been redirected to Vogue.

Fashion week has officially begun and so has some fresh inspiration.

I am bringing back the #1look series for the latest collections, starting with this dress from Band of Outsiders with a little twist, I will be adding an abstract version along with the fashion illustration that I create. Amazing really the inspiration that can flow from just one dress.

Its not always easy to narrow down to just one look from each designer, especially when I would seriously take every single piece home from some, but the challenge of finding that ultimate standout piece is what is fun and now adding how I can turn something from the runway into an abstract piece is exciting as well in the creative process.

1 Look ~ 10 Crosby Derek Lam PF/13

While I am still working on some behind the scene projects, thought I would share another quick #1look fashion illustration. This one from 10 Crosby Derek Lam's Pre Fall collection and available here. I actually am reminded of sometime in the 90's having something similar, they must be bringing me some reminded comfort and they look extremely comfortable as well.

I promise to share more of my #1looks soon from my ongoing stockpile.

A few pieces from this past week, first with a 1 look from 3.1 Phillip Lim P/F 13. In love with the scarf and the leather/suede jacket that would absolutely be worn past forever.

The 2nd piece best describes how one's mood can effect the creative process, pms mixed with the typical yearly funk that comes at this time each year, which means it is time to concretely start planning my spring and summer getaways. I promise though, last weekends mood has turned a full 180.

A quick 1 look illustration inspired by Sonia Rykiel's pre-fall 13 collection. This sweater seemed to set the mood with the graphic tone and easy movement of the collection. I really love the 1960's feel with a few of the pieces and cannot help but think of Alfred Hitchcock especially with this one.
