I was visiting The Bazaar Collections blog a few weeks back and found a photo of the stunning model Ataui Deng and was immediately inspired by her photo that she posted and did a few illustrations of her, I was especially drawn to the square painted around her eye. I hope to finish the other one in the next in a few days which I will share here as well.

Sun, rain, rainbows

The weather was amazing this weekend, strong sun turned thunderstorms to the clouds breaking free to expose a fantastic rainbow, the kind of rainbows that I used to chase on my bike as a young child searching for gold.

Sunday Girl

Definitely my favorite days of the week, Sunday and would love to share the name, but honestly just came across this adorable signer Jade Williams aka Sunday Girl who is also fashionable and multi-talented. I thought I would share this amazing DIY bunny mask she made for her band that she shared on her blog.. Want!! & (bunny's everywhere! As I lay near a shaded tree

Came across this beautiful Kaften from Absolutely Lady Like and now really want to spend a summer day lounging in it all day. Just lovely.

Been taking advantage of these past few official days of summer and wondering around the city, actually found a few new boutiques to browse and shop a little and just taking in some good inspiration the day brings. Also my daughter who is 7 loves to bring along her camera when we head out anywhere, (her hello kitty camera) has some cool effects actually, thought I would share a few. Adore her perception and how a 7 year old looks at the world in general xoxo

Thought I would step off my usual path of my art and add some variety, so I painted a street scene in the Montmartre district in Paris..Rue Norvins to be exact. I had a crepe there at Au Pichet du Tertre and thought what a great idea to paint places I have been.. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do and I also hope you are having a great week.

A Birthday present for moi??

Craving this Coach bag as a gift to self for my birthday this weekend ;) It was designed by the adorable Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere for Coach. Also want to thank Fahionary for including me among the list of 30 illustrators you can't miss, a fantastic list to be a part of. I actually use their fashion sketch journals for my sketches (highly recommend) Thank you Penter.

And last but not least, I love summer and especially when I catch a sweet bunny roaming through the grass.. I cannot believe he let me get so close.

Weekend Wedge

It has been beyond forever since I have done an outfit post, but well, it is summer and it seems more exciting for me to do some again anyway.. I also thought since my weekdays are always so swamped I might try to fit them in on the weekends here and there. I also added some new items in my Shop Leigh as well for you.

The Fitting Room 3rd Edition /// September 24th-25th

I was gladly contacted by those involved with The Fitting Room. A fantastic opportunity for artists to showcase their work and an amazing fun time for anyone that should attend. Their next showcase is this September in Bilbao, Spain the 24th-25th 2010. It is an event of art, fashion and trends that will be held at the Hotel Meliá in Bilbao.

Each artist will represent and create their own world in one of its rooms, which consist of 50 total rooms. Participating designers and artists in all categories: fashion, accessories, jewelry, photography, illustration, sculpture ... Anything relating to the world of fashion, art and design. A great time for the visitors as you can explore exclusive pieces to take home and interact with the participants in open creative spaces.

There is also an open call for artists :) The deadline for submission of nominations begins on May 10 and ending on June 10th 2010. You can submit your work here.. ( You know I am with my art) !!! Of course :) So cross fingers and if your an artist that is interested as well, go for it!!
