Valentino's Braid

Stockholm Street Style

Style.com

I have to admit, I am one of those when it comes to hair styles that stick to a basic few, (only 3) straighten my natural curly hair, wear it natural and use the curling iron, and "I do not have time for my hair today and it is pissing me off" toss of a ponytail. But looking at this top photo of the gorgeous Karmen Pedaru looking so chic with her updo and braid I cannot help but think, I never take time to really try new styles with my hair.

I am not sure why, I just stick with the basic what works out of habit.. It could be though when I was working in a salon many years ago that I had someone give me a new style,

"Why not, whatever you think looks amazing and different". That obviously did not work for me (or anyone for that matter) and left looking like this,

Pucci Spring 2009

Ok maybe not that bad, but I sure did feel like it while walking around downtown running errands after my hair was 80s fied.

What about you? Do you tend to stick with a few styles out of habit, or do you take the time for creative styles with your hair?

Dear Leigh, I fall to number 3 category of yours meaning living in a boring pony tail, so you are much better with hair : ) I think I shaped my hair myself last time, can't remember! : ( And last shaping in a hairdresser was 3 years ago maybe, and never had any coloring or perm etc. For my wedding events ( Florence and Istanbul ) my mom shaped it for me : ) And I need to have a good hair cut after a good 1 year, I guess. So I am terrible about hair. And now the funny thing is I was about to post about braids today ( but ended up doing my top10 women on bike list post ) and 2 of the images were these same valentino ones, looove them and want to try soon, I just need someone patient to do it for me : ) Maybe my mom : ) If I do and like it, I will post and share with you. I also love the whole style in the first outfit. And finally ( sorry for this longest comment ), I am looking forward to Flutter : ) And thanks for your lovely comment : )

I had my hair braids last year, quite similar from Valentino but it didn't look good on me. Huh!
That lady is gorgeous!
