Some Chanel inspired pieces for you today. I was loving the simple dark line in the hair and the smokey eyes that Peter Philips used for the SS/11 makeup for Chanel. And I was also motivated to paint another landscape of Paris so I chose that of Chanel on 31 Rue Cambon. I really hope someday to visit Mademoiselle Coco's apartment above. Do they even offer tours? Or is it (by invitation only, I am sure)

Sunday Winds

The weather cooled down a bit and added annoying wind gusts that personally out of any weather condition is my least favorite, but loose sweaters will keep me happy all year round. I am also getting ready to pack for San Francisco, leaving in a few days for my art show and will be needing a few more to keep me warm from the breeze of the pacific, surely.

This week I will also be posting a new original canvas painting before I leave that I was actually going to take with me to the show, but bummer I was not able to ship it on time, I have plenty original illustrations that have already arrived for the installation though that I think will be perfect. Cannot wait to see some of you there!

Hi everyone! I have been updating a few older pieces I did back in 2007 both based on the photography of Aneta Kowalczyk. She inspires me greatly and I have done quite a few based on her work. I found these two from the archives and decided to turn them into prints for you to enjoy as well. I am also happy to say that the Original, the 2nd Piece will be up for auction for Bloggers Give Back, 100% of profits going to charity, you can learn more about it here. "Fashion Unraveled" Exhibition

My latest show, "The Fashion Unraveled" exhibition is part of Gensler San Francisco’s 2011 Spring Art Programme. The show examines contemporary fashion beyond the final product of thread and cloth. Exploring fashion as an artistic process & practice, from mind to hand to manifestation. Fashion photography and garments will share the stage with artist works and a live charette will present a tangible view of design at the exhibition reception.
Gensler is proud to present and support artists and designers working across mediums and proving a full range of content and presentation. The Gensler San Francisco office invites you to see into the hearts and minds of these artists recognizing that the design they utilize can be as fluid as the garments they create."
