The last photo taken at my old home in January before the big change.

A very long time since my last post, yikes! I have been moving from my old home to the new home for a few weeks, ok a little over a month, but as of today we are officially settled. As we closed the door for the last time it hit hard letting go of something that has been a part of my life for so long, but simultaneously the excitement of turning the page was needed and as I type this I can assure you that the past month of staying under our new roof has been nothing short of wonderful.

Change is the only constant, and with change comes fresh ideas and new inspirations. I will start again to bring the space of my blog that I love and miss back to life and cannot wait to share with you as I get back into that rhythm, will share the rooms as they come together along with new art, photography and many other topics that are in my pool of interests.
Thank you in the meantime for following along with me on Instagram while all was going on, it has kept my creative needs in check.

Aurora Tower's St John Home

Browsing the July issue of Elle I came across an Elle Living feature with a client of mine, Aurora Tower. She is such a sweet genuine person and was so wonderful to work with. Here is just 1 of the commissions I did of her below.

She bought and refurbished the home on St. John Island in 2005 and built it to be as green as possible, buying locally and using earth friendly suppliers and materials. She is currently living in NYC and using the home a few times a year, but here is the fantastic part, you can rent out this beauty for a vacation yourself. (thinking of that myself) on Jetsetter. AfroChic: Fall Collection

I have been excited for awhile to see what the wonderful Jeanine Hays, founder of AfroChic has had up her sleeves for the new Fall collection. The wait is over as of today it has been launched.






She has included new textiles from wallpaper to new pillows, table linens and organic shower curtains. This season I was excited to see Brooklyn based artist Samantha Hahn and her work on a few of the pieces, especially the pillows (want). I had a group exhibition along with her, Dallas Shaw and Christina Entcheva last summer at Charles Nolan in NYC.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Jeanine Hays while showing my work in San Francisco. J'adore all you talented ladies!
