Behind the scenes getting my shop(s) ready for the upcoming holiday rush and Black Friday of course.. Is it really here already? The best part I am pulling out a few Originals from my archive and making them available for you this Holiday season. Many more will be added this week and they will have their own home here at leighviner.bigcartel.com. Also some new photos and illustrations will be popping up in my Etsy shop as well.

The London Eye

When in London for the first time of course I am heading to the touristy parts of the city, like the London Eye, but and a big but, the last thing I want to do while on vacation is stand in long slow moving lines. I did that plenty after getting off of my long flight from the States, three hours to be exact to get through customs. eeek... I am sure I missed some amazing views from atop, but I am just as happy to sit in peace across the river Thames and take in the view of what it is in front of me.

I also have missed my paint brushes so much that even though I took enough photographs in Europe to edit seriously for a few years lol, I thought why not add a touch of some quick watercolors or sketches to add to my posts along with them. Might have to do that with the majority of my posts actually. Shall see.. but I will be adding these to my Shop soon!

Postcards From London Day 5// Belgium Day 1

The last day of London for a few weeks, next stop Belgium, the place of amazing architecture, the best waffles and frites, and off course beer, wait and amazing chocolate. And of course the birth place to a few of my favorite designers, Diane von Furstenberg and Olivier Theyskens.. Could go on and on at how amazing this place is.

The Weather is still a bit chilly but nothing to stop us from roaming comfortably around London. Happily brought my Zara ballet flats to get me around and another amazing jean discovery by Mother.
This is just a small tidbit of the photos I have taken of course, just amazing discoveries around each corner, but for now here are some quick favs. One more Day of London to share this week then off to the rainy days of Belgium (where we currently are) love!

Hello hello everyone!!

I feel so out of touch as I have had some issues getting online, but finally connected and ready to update a bit from the last few days starting with day 3 of London, which was also the day of the Showcase
Amazing to say the least and so honoring to meet quite a few of you in person. I will share more photos of the show in a few weeks.

Thank you again to everyone that came and for everyone that help make the night such a great success!

The second day in London, includes drinking coffee way to fast to warm from the cold winds, but thankfully clear from the expected rain that I was sure to see. Extra energy to follow from the caffeine to explore the neighborhood we are near. A stop at Zara because it was there and buying a wonderful mixed floral blouse that seemed to be needed ;) An unexpected cost for a new curling iron despite the fact I brought mine and the proper outlets, it still was not working, always expect the unexpected.

Stuffing our faces with a proper English Breakfast of thick ham, sausage, beans eggs and toast, Pizza for lunch and late night snacks for dinner as we have yet to adjust to the time difference, so dinnertime seemed to be when everything closed at 2 am. Healthy for day 2, no.. ;P

Now time to get ready for the Showcase Tonight!!

Postcards From London Day 1

Hello from London!!

A very long flight and a 3 hour wait to get through customs, Jim and I are finally settled in a comfortable lovely hotel near Hyde Park. First stop after a fast unpacking was a wonderful dinner with Sylvie the Curator of the Showcase and Kyle at La Petite Maison in Mayfair (highly recommend)!! Thank you guys for a wonderful first night in London!!
