Maddalina

1:00 am in the morning and starting what I will finish as a long awaited post tomorrow (today now). I am in the middle of what comes a few times a year at being absent from my blog, which is really hard, but necessary because running my business of getting out prints on time for Christmas is definitely a priority as is all the Holiday organization of finding the perfect gifts for everyone. But I had to sneak in a new piece, as I was inspired to do so after just recently and finally watching La Dolce Vita oh and Belle de jour a few weeks ago, sure to come up with something artistic from that as well, a bit obsessed with the sartorial greatness that was in each scene with Catherine Deneuve.

I am assured and confident in the fact that foreign, classic films seem to be my favorite all time movies to dive into when time permits.

To read to watch inspiration

I posted these on my facebook and thought it would be a good idea to share them here as well. I just received this book that I will be starting this week, Another Bullshit Night in Suck City" It will also be made into a film for 2012 which starts filming this summer with Casey Affleck and Robert De Niro. Along with that I will be receiving my netflix copy of The Night Porter. Will let you know. ( Not sure either are good for lifting my spirits of the winter season though ) ;)

Hope you all had a sweet Valentine's day, much love and appreciation to you all!

While editing this photo I couldn't help but think of the movie Magnolia, I have no idea if this flower is of such, but it inspired just that. Such a great film if you have not seen it yet.

Excellent films

"She was already thinking of herself as a kind of ex-patriot. Not smothered by what she believed to be America's puritanical and materialistic culture which she had little patience for. She saw herself more a European soul, in tune with the thinkers and artists she felt expressed her tragic, romantic free thinking view of life".

Angelina was superb, she had me in tears quite a bit in this film. Fantastic.
