Hello lovlies! I hope your having a wonderful weekend.
I have been taking advantage of getting outside and getting dirty by cleaning up the garden. I forget how much work it really takes, or the bugs and the dead pokey rose branches that certainly know how to protect themselves, Sh*t those hurt ;) But well worth the effort when it all comes together.

I am also getting ready for the last week of school before summer vacation begins for my daughter. An emotional week ahead as she finishes up her elementary education and now will be heading into middle school in the Fall. I have said it a million times, but seriously where did the time go!!!

In a safe pocket of steady rain where I live here in Colorado, which thankfully I am counting my blessings as I cannot say the same for most of the state where they have been dealing with life threatening floods. The flood we had in our basement a few weeks ago from another storm does not compare to damage and loss that they have to endure for months to come. My heart goes out to everyone effected. :(

With it being a steady rain for me, I can only be reminded of London, Brussels and Paris in the Spring. So for this weekend a fews photos that I had taken to visualize what I want for this weekend along with inspiration on what I would love to be wearing as well. Will be adding movies, reading and maybe even breakfast in bed along with some online shopping for the perfect new umbrella to replace my broken one and of course, time to invest in some good hunter rain boots. Thinking if it does decide to flood here again, hopefully not, (knock on wood ) might need to have something to protect my feet. I don't think ballet flats will cut it.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Summer, Summer, Summer Time..

My daughters last day of school on Friday and a tradition of ice cream shortly after the bell rings. <3

Hope your having a wonderful weekend! My head is filled with even more DIY ideas (like a refurbish of a 4ft tall Jewelry cabinet) soon, soon) and finally pulling out my brushes again, after the lovely voyages in Europe, it is time to put my inspirations back on paper and canvas again.. Cannot wait!!

Weekend Project - DIY Tie-Dye Jeans

1. You will need a pair of jeans, rubber bands, bleach, rubber gloves and a bucket.

2. Fill up your bucket with cold water. Soak your jeans in water until completely wet.

3. Ring them out.

4. Tie as many or as little rubber bands as you want onto your jeans. There is no right or wrong way to do this, the more rubber bands you tie on the more darker patches you will have.

5. Fill your bucket again with water and add half a bottle of bleach.

6. Using your rubber gloves place your jeans into water.

7. Depending on how light you want the tie dye parts to be, leave your jeans in the bucket for a few hours, checking constantly. It is also a good idea to place something heavy on top of the jeans to keep them under water.

8. Once you are happy with the colour, rinse the jeans in cold water and let them set for an 1/2 hour or so then proceed to wash them as usual.

Weekend Randomness

Hi everyone, I hope your having a wonderful weekend. I have been using all of my free time to start a series of oil paintings inspired by the photography of Paolo Roversi. (completely in love with his work is an understatement) But here is the piece of his that I will be using for the first one. Cannot wait to show you.

Also while browsing Song of Style's blog for the look of the week, I caught the gorgeous townhome of Jenna Lyon of J.Crew and couldn't help but wonder where I could come up with a quick 3.75 million... The window seating alone has sold me..

Just keep working ( someday Leigh, someday) ;)

Hello Weekend! And My Bergdorfs Instagram obsession

Happy weekend lovelies! xo What are your plans? I am looking forward to reading a ton, sleeping in and maybe fitting in a pig roast ;)

I also will be posting later on today a giveaway from Shopbop so stay tuned! And some new work this weekend as well. I actually just finished up this week on a project that I am super excited about for Creem Magazine that involves the fabulous boutiques of Colette, Browns of London, Opening Ceremony and 10 Corso Como. that should be coming out in September so cannot wait to share.

Last but not least I want to share my latest obsession which is Bergdorfs Instagram. She is giving new life to some fabulous shoes around Manhattan J'adore!! I am also addicted to instagram in general, you can follow my photos here as well.
